ATL

Sidenote: It's been awhile. Sorry I haven't blogged in what seems like ages. Life got in the way.

Sidenote No. 2: In case you were wondering, I survived #nospendfebruary - it was rough but I made it and I'm proud that I did it. I really think we can do anything we set our minds to - no matter what it is. One of my favorite quotes lately is: Whether you think you can or you can't, you're right.

After over a year and a half of living in Charlotte, we finally made it to Atlanta for a weekend trip. We bought Justin Timberlake tickets the day they went on sale which was at least 6 months before the actual concert date - 12/20/14. We made the 3.5 hour drive the morning of the concert, stopped in Buckhead for some Shake Shack {sooooo good, I'm obsessed and eat it every single chance I get.} I also noticed the Dyptique store was almost right next door so we had to pop in and we ended up getting the Mimosa scent. My second candle so far and certainly not my last.

After getting checked into our hotel, we took a quick nap and then got ready for the big show. Can you believe it's my first time seeing Justin Timberlake in concert? Now, I've seen 'NSYNC several times but given how big of a JT fan I am, I still couldn't believe that I missed out on seeing him on tour for so many years. That's why I had to make a special trip to see him in ATL since we were out of town when he came to Charlotte in the Summer of 2014. We took about a million photos but the ones below are my favorites.

The next day, we stopped at the Georgia Aquarium because it's the biggest and best in the world. It did not disappoint. My favorite part is the conveyor belt-like apparatus that you just stand on so you dont have to worry about running into someone while you stare at the fishes and ...wait for it.. whale sharks, what?!?! swimming above you. So cool! I felt like a kid again.

Of course I had to touch these. They are the most amazingly soft and squishy thing I think I've ever felt.

We also ate at some delicious restaurants - including West Egg Cafe and The Little Tart Bakeshop. Highly recommend if you're ever in the area. We definitely need to make another trip back to ATL, I don't feel like we got to know the city very well just yet, we need to spend a little more time together.

Until next time,
Kim
